Did/Has anyone even pondered how the said key even got lost/missing? Its probably unimportant now but its good to know what actually goes on with the "jockey" system. After the car is parked the keys are attached to the portion of the slip kept by the jockey (you keep the other half) and normally stored in a : a) drawer B) cabinet with hooks to hang keys c) table d) seat of their parked car (jockeys w/out a counter, Bangsar) If so, how could your keys go missing???? Since your car was parked and locked, we know that they lost the keys after their assumed responsibility. Lets assume that they genuinely made a mistake by attaching the wrong ticket to your keys....then wouldnt the rightful owner find that out before he could even get his car? So, no possibility of that happening. Assuming that they carelessly dropped your keys at/around their "base" (dont know if they use a counter). Someone would see it or find it....I would assume that that someone pass it to the jockeys as it would be no use to them. One reason I could think of for it going missing could be :most jockeys, during busy periods sometimes, do not have the time to leave the keys of the previously jockeyed car back to base and take on the next car. Holding on to your keys, he could have left them in the car he parked after yours....and its probably still in there. Well, I dont think that someone after finding a set of keys in his/her next morning would take the trouble to return it to the jockeys. Also....Some years back I knew of a syndicate that worked with car jockeys to either get the keys of jockeyed cars imprinted or stolen. Imprinted keys were sold at RM100 each and stolen ones at RM500. Hope that this was not the case...in your case.
