Thanks bro. My budget is not that big (around 160-170k only), so i can only afford used beemer for now. Was looking at E60 525, but after hearing and reading the problems it had, especially when it comes to electronic part (i heard if idrive malfunction, the whole car gonna shut down, is it true), i'm a bit sceptical now. Maybe prefer 325 without idrive, as it might be less complicated (i think so, i could be wrong)

Have been looking around for 2 months already, and already test drive both 325 and 525. Just wondering, for my budget, what year i should look for, for both model? Any good used car dealer you may want to suggest?

Regarding to BMW diesel, i saw one, 530d. It's a UK spec. Is our diesel good for it? Or does it requires some modification to make the engine suitable to our diesel, as i understand that our diesel is a bit off lower quality compare to UK diesel.

Thank you in advance. :)

Go diesel!
there are quite number of used unit 530d ranging from 120-145k in Mudah if I'm not mistaken
very torquey machine!
our Euro2 diesel is much better than the ones we have previously but not as clean as Euro4 diesels like in the europe.
Mr.VP dzuljazz2001 has been using a "optimized" 530d E60 for many years and he might be the best man to refer.

p/s: he says BhP diesel cleanest so far and he swears by it.

I just get myself E60 530D 2004 ..!! Yesterday Bring BM specialist to Diagnose it...So far no major problem except the Faulty error code on Active Steering & PDC parking sensor..!! But once you tried the Diesel version you are not turning back ......Happy Hunting Bro

You are no longer a newbie once you start the BMW roundel rolling here.....welcome to our forum..

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Definitely gonna give 530d a try.

Congrats on getting your machine. :) mind telling where you bought yours? Dealer or direct owner? Do you bring the specialist to the place you bought the car, or did you brought the car to the specialist's workshop? How much would they charge for diagnose?

I brought from Used car dealer dealer which they claim their boss got connection with BMW Malaysia & always sapu the management car. The 530D fully loaded with M5 bodykits, 18" rim with Michelin 2010 tire (90% thread). I brought the Bimmer specialist to the dealer there to diagnose. I paid him $100 for the peace in mind service :rock:

Hi, yes i'm a dealer on equity. I dont have CFA at the moment, but planning to get one in the future. I'm also planning to get licence in futures. Which market do you frequently trade?

I think we are a bit out of topic here. Haha. Anyway, I usually trade hsi and H shares.

Haha, this is introduction topic, any topic can be raised here. Which. broker are you using?

My broker is in Singapore, cheaper. Haha. How about yourself? Do you trade? You use FA or TA?

160k sounds fair.

I heard that biodiesel gives sluggish performance to the car compare to normal diesel. Is that true?
