Just a small correction, I do not mean that if you only change gear oil after 100K mileage, your gearbox will have problem. I know many of you have infact getting better performance after gear oil change, it is very much depend on your luck and also your gearbox condition, I suppose there is no other option but to change the gear oil sometime, and hopefully you don't get like my situation, but if you do, then you know why/what is happening. If you can afford to have the gearbox complete serviced and cleaned every 100K, that will be good, the labor cost of complete Stripped/cleaned/serviced is probably less than RM1K, gear oil is around RM650, that is not a bad investment and it will probably keep the gearbox life longer. The reason why they can do it fast because stripping/Servicing the gearbox for them is like having TT..heheh.. while other shop might encouter gearbox once in while. The shop name is MSCOPE in Batucave, pls pm me if you need more details. I am sure some of you already know this shop anyway. He claims to be the Sole Agent for ZF Gearbox parts in SEA.
