My ABS Light goes on whenever i hit a hard bump or brake really hard (When the ABS Light is on, the diagnostic computer reveals that the Front ABS and ABS Pump are not sending any signalIf the engine is switched off and then the car restarted, the ABS Light goes off again)I sent the car in for Inspection at BMWorld and they suggested that the wafer thin wire inside the ABS pump be changed and the pump serviced (my car apparently uses an old technology abs pump and this problem can be easily corrected - 1995 E36 M43 318i)Unfortunately for me,the inspection also lead to the discovery of the following problems :-1)Timing case is leaking (need new gaskets, oil seals etc)2)Front brake hoses are shot (will also change the rear brake hoses just to be safe)3)oil changes recommended for the rear axel, braking system flush (will be done when brakes hoses and abs pump are services), etc etcHas anyone serviced the abs in this fashion before?Have scheduled the oil leak fixes on the 16th of may and if budget allows the brake and abs servicing also (i know the brakes are important but i'm on a budget ....) Wanted to do it this saturday but it a public holliday and the shop is closed ..... sigh
