Squeaking Sound From the Wheel During Low Speed

Hey guy,

I own a pre-owned 2013 F30 320d and my car makes a very annoying squeaking sound coming from the front wheels when I'm driving at low speed. What I have noticed after a while is that:-

1. The sound only appears after 10-15 minutes of driving and I guess this happens when the wheels/break are hot.
2. It only happens at low speed at around 10 to 30 kmph and it stops when I accelerate.
3. The squeaking sound stops when I slightly step on the break pedals.

At first I thought it was my break pad thinning and I went to get it changed at this Exotic Automobile Services in Bandar Puteri Puchong (recommended by the dealer). I changed my brake pads (original set) along with the brake sensor but the problem still persists. To make matter worst, now once in a while when I break at low speed, the front brake squeaks as if my brake pads are old and worn out

I went back again to the shop to address the issue and the workshop owner told me that any squeaking sound from can only be caused by brake pads or disc brake.

To change to a brand new original disc will cost me about RM1700 but he does not guarantee that changing the disc brake will solve my problem. I don't mind spending a thousand bucks as long as it gets the problem fix but not when after spending that amount of money, the problem still persisted.

Have anyone here faces the same problem as I do? I'm thinking of getting a second opinion and wondering if you guys can help me out by recommending a reliable and trustworthy workshop in around PJ area?

Any news of your problem? Have you tried skimming the brake disk?

I think I have the same problem too. I’m not really sure whether it’s the brake or what but it occurs on the front wheel and it makes squeaks/ bird chirping noise at Low speed/braking or making a turn.

Mine is on the rear wheels .. some kind of squeaky noise ...

Check your brake dust cover, the metal behind the brake disc. it might be bent/uneven n made contact

I had a similar squeaking sound problem on my F30 2016 started when mileage was about 20K. As under warranty, I managed to get all four brake discs and brake pads replaced. Phew... One thing I can swear is owning this BM's can really cause anxiety issues. There are issues propping up one after another. Whether minor or major it is so unpredictable. Each time to get it fixed with their Service Centres can be a nightmare. You practically need to have a spare car if you own a BM.
Long term owning these cars are really not in my mind. Super stable Jap's. are anytime far relaxing to the mind and far fewer issues post-purchase.

Any diagnosis on the Squeking noise ? Went to dealer they did dunno what bleeding then the issue still not solve

Disc Brake got warranty ?

From what auto bavaria service centre informed me is warranty for brake and disc is upto 30k or 2 yrs.

Mine just over 31k.no more already
