[QUOTE="thule, post: 568465, member: 14511"] What I suggest is to use a better performance tire which normally comes with reinforced side wall that withstand puncture. May I know what brand of true you use? I have been using Dunlop Sport Maxx for a year and everything is well :top: the most worrying message I got was "tire pressure loss". This means either I forgot to constantly pump air into my tire, or my tire kena paku or other sharp objects. Most of the time it was the latter :4: My wife won't be driving my E60 - I wouldn't let her drive anyway, not for long distance. And believe me when I said that I did change the tire twice before. The jack that comes together with the spare tire is not that hard to use really. As a matter of fact, it's time consuming (the only drawback). How long you didn't change your tire bro? The spare tire is really handy IMO. Yes it's only 17" compared to my 18" rim with 245/40/18.. But bear in mind the word "spare", meaning that it's for use in case of emergency! Change it and drive to the nearest tire shop. You said that you noticed that the patch was smeared again after 80km into the journey so you knew that it was dangerous to continue driving. It's a wonder that you drove all the way after that and then stopped at seremban to pump more air and finally changed your tire at Sri petaling. I would have made detour into seremban town to change tire and if for spare time, enjoy siu hai (grilled crab) or famous Siew pao before heading home :4: By the way, I'm from Pahang and it's not really THAT dangerous even if your car had puncture along the karak - Kuantan old trunk road. I have been using this road since I got my license at tender age of 17. Even with the east coast highway right now, I still prefer to use the trunk road to maximize the potential of my E60 and to do some spirited driving. On the highway, it's too boring to drive..
