Sound & movement under the seat- help me

Got my seat repaired again as the cable to the back rest loosen, so when you adjust the back rest, only the right side is going up and down. Sent the car to mech, saw him looosen the seat holding screws and did some adjustment and tigthening at the bottom of the seat and it is now back to operation mode. Now the problem, I can feel the seat frm time to time some movement under the seat and it create the sound like "tok tok" as well when the car is in motion. This has becoming very irritating to me. My mech is having difficulting in coming out with any solution. Any sifu can help? please response to this thread. Million thanks

can try BMWorks (Vasu) in Batu Caves although some forummers mentioned Bimmerholics in Sunway too.

Hi bro affan, not meant to be rude but as you know many of these specialists are technically sound with engine department but not the accessories. Just curious if your recommendation is based on experience including repair that you have seen on a similar problem or just a general statement as they are good with BMW.

Gerald, the tok, tok sound can mean a lot of other things.

1. seat not bolted down properly
2. pivot angle nut worn out
3. seat belt nut loose
4. one of the cable is loose

could be more than that.

I have a similar problem like yours and I intend to take it to BMWorks. I was told Bimmerholics can do it too. I did not mention anywhere that they are specialists.

If you are afraid of them, I suggest head to Ingress, Sapura or AB. Hopefully, no more problem

i have a buzzing sound coming from my e39's front passenger seat! it has been driving me nuts! got a few mechanics to check on it, no solution at all. either they are deaf or not bothered since it's too much trouble to find the source of the sound.
