Smiley vs non smiley lights

Anyone can enlighten me why some models have smiley projector headlights and others projector only with no smiley? Where can I get replacement smileys? How much are they?My cabrio got smiley on left, no smiley on right... :-(Docazani

Doc,

The main function of the smileys is to reduce headlight glare for oncoming traffic.

The retail for around RM160 toRM180 a piece but are getting increasingly hard to find. Better luck locating them at chop-shops.

BTW, smasing ride! I knew the previous owner and have had many nice evening cruises in her before. Good to know that she has found an appreciative new owner.

I have one non smiley, can pass it to you on the next TT at your place if you want, I bought it when had an accident that nut workshop bought me that and say ok what (HIS HEAD STUPID will never go there again) as mine with smiley and I change it back buying new to replace back to my original whole set but can't remember how much. I hope I can locate where I kept.I think the earlier e30s had the non smileys kot tak tau lah. you got PM.

I'm looking for the RH side epsiloids WITHOUT smiley as the LH edi changed to epsiloids without smiley previously after the original one smashed. This is how it looked like now:
