I understand the recommended offset for an e36 is about 35-45mm. But I'm curious what is the smallest offset value anyone here (or anywhere) has ever successfully fitted onto an e36?

I've heard of people from across the ocean fitting offset 13s. So it is possible actually. with a bit of fender rolling and the right suspension of course.

These were the info I didn't have and found out the hard way. Hope I can help you. My e36 was fitted with +30 and 225 front, 235 rear. Front and rear needed rolling. Rear not so bad but front was never properly fit even after rolling the fenders. Now I'm using a +20et 18 x 8J e39 set. Of course after I do the widebody...

Thanks, bro... but like my ex-gf used to say, beauty comes with pain. It's always better to buy a car already fitted with wide body or turbo charger and all issues ironed out than to do it yourself and go through the teeth gritting process of fine tuning. It took almost a year from the start of the mod until all the paint and body issues sorted, including the tyre scraping on the fenders. AArrgghh.... But then again, that is the fun part isn't it?
