- Diesel is available at most petrol stations in Malaysia, however the quality of our diesel fuel is lower compared to Australia. - Most independent BMW Specialists will be able to service your car. - If there are any parts not in stock it can be ordered but expect a 2 week wait. Resale value - It is harder to get a loan for personal imports so you may have to accept a lower cash price when the time comes to sell. Also, expect lots of frustration waiting for your AP to be approved, clearing customs, etc. My brother shipped his car back from Melbourne and the AP procedure alone took nearly 2 months (supposed to be 1 week) Your other option is to buy a new CKD BMW here. If I'm not mistaken it is tax exempt under the MM2H programme.
