This makes RON 97 (Euro 4M) the cleaner fuel with a lesser sulphur content of 50 parts per million (ppm) as compared to the RON 95 (Euro 2M) sulphur content of 500 ppm.</p><p></p><p>The higher sulphur content results in more exhaust emission which contributes to the formation of acid rain.
