Oh, this is one of my fav installs as it is cheap and effective. Buy a decent looking one. There are many to choose from : aftermarket. Ask your self what is important ?. Good accuracy ?. Good detection of objects, left-right bias. Good digital display plus warning chimes/beeps ?. Shape or size of display. Most of these are made in China. Even OEM ones from Toyota are made there so quality is about the same. Just the workmanship of the kit you need to determine. I have 2 installs on my E34s. First one: E34 sedan uses Poron (Hong Kong brand) with rectangular sensors. Each hardened rubber sensor block has two ultrasonic sender/receivers. 3 included in the kit. For left centre right. I used only 2 sensor blocks. LED panel is very thin and cables are flattened like a phone table but black. Each to line and conceal in the car. I had the display superglued just above the centre aircond vends using a hand built metal support bracket. The sensor units were glued just underneath rear tail lights. 3M sticker provided. Unit hiden behind inner taillight housing and wired to reverse light. Works very well, it give distance to 1cm accuracy. Yeah, I like to park 5 cm to the wall!. I measured and calibrated this unit. That was 3 years ago. Recent one in my Touring. This CHina made one looks just like the one Toyota uses in their range of Camrys. Need to drill hole in bumper to stick it in. Drill bit provided. Simple enough with a Bosch drill. Thread wired from behind bumper and run that to rear light cluster wired to reverse light. This display on this one is digital and has Left or Righ bias. Horizontal bars to indicate which side distance it reads. The very unfortunate thing about this kit is that it can read from 2 meters or nearer. It does the job in close proximity reverse parking. My other kit can read my neighbour's gate at 35 metres!!!. Brilliant!. Good luck. PS: Oh, the PDC display screen in X3 or E60 can "see" grass!. It is green on the display. Solid objects are red!. I was impressed.
