repair or not repair

Hi, every1 Few days ago, my car seem like the power for electric component (light, odometer) is not smooth and when really focus on it the light will be like (blinking), is not as bad as totally went on/off. Do anyone here experience it before? What could it be an alternator or the battery?If is an alternator is it good to repair or not? But last nite I try to take out the negative & positive cable to test the alternator, luckily is still charging the engine didn't turn down.Would you like to share your experiences/comments? Please do so.Thank you

hee hee heee... i been having this shit issue for the good of past 5 months already. I suspect it is either the voltage regulator or the grounding is not sufficient. Will let u know if i do manage to solve it...

Have you check on the battery or alternator? What did the mech said?

Well is it good to install the power stabilizer (pivot) like wat Lee36328 did will it help voltage stabilize.

Oh.. Amcorp ka... like that we can go check out the ah moi at the starbucks in the evening.. hehehehehe... one of these days.

hee heee ... Bro Ah Lee ah..... no la.. it won't help one. If fact I got one installed... actually for me wifey car one.. but after i put in mine.. got some nice "side effects" but not stabilizing the voltage la.

U prob. need to get a Voltage Meter(any acc. or workshop, should have) to check out how much juice your alternator is producing. If it's stabil and in the green, then it should be the carbon bushing, voltage regulator(the one at the alt., not the little blue box) or the grounding for the car itself. If I were U , I take care of the grounding first then only mess around with the alternator... but hey that's my opinion.

Solution? Replace worn out alternator with new alternator. No problems like that kind since.

Haa ahahaa... cannot start ah..... we do "Yau Yeng" or "Pose Gaya" open bonnet pose. Then talk loudy, wah... u got M50B25 or M43B18 engine.. can produce so so much HP etc etc. Sure got some Ah Beng or Ah Moi or Ah lian.. curious curious one..hahahahahah!

I think should be RM1k+ in KL for a brand new alternator. But you have to check with the usuals(Stuttgart,etc etc) for the pricing. SG abit cheaper but labour more ex. Hope it helps. Cheers.

Aircon yeah....tell uwat, go buy the parts and install at Naidu change the 3 items I think rm6++ for(3items) cooling coil look for (copper) labour talk him...

Dunno ah.... got some ppl say the same thing...at the end of the day, went for second hand one because of overharging and also undercharging.

I got so call "service" the alternator before in the old engine.

I took 3 alternators and then combine the parts to the original. Works fine but that's old ori working parts.
