Remote trunk lid opening fail

My diamond key remote control trunk lid opening function suddenly failed a couple of weeks back. Manual opening via the interior button is functioning. So ruled out the actuator problem. I thought it must be some wiring or electronic problem. Last wed, sent the car to Ingress. End of the day, cannot detect the problem but giving suggestion that it could be due to the interference caused by my multi-function headunit. I am stubborn to take the SA's word.Finally left my car at my regular mechanic to diagnose over the weekend. Apparently, an earthwire is loose and dirty. Clean it up a bit and re-tighten and it is good to go again. My mechanic is more expert than Ingress's technician......siah...

You are lucky to being stubborn....if not he may suggest that you remove the headunit or change this and change that..

Amazing .... I mean, the kind of bull$h1t these people try to serve us. I get the same ¢0£k & bull stories every time I bring the car in to PML for servicing or trouble shooting.... It must be something in their FAQ C:\ drive hahaha
