If your rims need refurbishing where do you guys sent it to. Mine need refurbishing, slight straightening and roundness check (hope that the apt description of it). How long will it take usually to get these things done and in the meantime what do I need to do with my car. Leave it at the shop or will the guy who does my rim give me a set of loan rim and tyres? In the first place is it advisable to refurbish rims or should I just get a set of new ones. At 80mph the car vibrate, 90mph...scares me.

Ok but mizhan can you please give me the landmark for MPS Auto @ PJS7. Where is that exactly?

i just sent to a rims refurbish specialist in the USJ1 light industrial area, what i did were straightening 3 rims, skimming all the center hole to become slightly bigger and paint it back... they just charged me all for RM190(i brought my own paint), they give extra service like sanding and adding cement on the rough area of rim and try to make it as smooth as possible then only paint it back... the result is nice, just that 1 of my rim still a bit bent because it was too serious already. but i will go to do on wheel balancing for the front rims so that it won't vibrate...

if you are coming from the kesas, turn left to enter the USJ main road, then prepare to turn left after passing the summit USJ, then go all the way straight and you will have to turn right at the end of the road, you will see USJ1 road sign, when you reached there, try to ask the people who working in that area where is the Saab specialist, the rims specialist is just same row with the Saab specialist.

hi, so meaning u have to drive to the end of the road? ok. hows the workmanship? do they give u a rim replacement while they do ur rims? i was thinking about doing for all four of my rims. curbs marks and i think one of em is slightly dented

Here's an update on my wheel refurbishing. I have got it done and I am happy with it. Got the rims sand blasted, got all the kinks, bruises and slight knocks on the rims nice and smooth. Cured the wheel wobble too and all for RM100.00 per rim. I have a 15 inch AC rims, polished the lips like it was in its original form and painted it silver metallic. Like it.

In all it took one week to get it all done and I was given loan rims for my car. The place is at somewhere past Sri Damansara on the back road to Rawang (light industrial area on the right). I even bought a slightly used Falken tyres form the shop.

Like the guy who attended to me, nice pleasant chap too. His name Michael. If any of you wants his phone number PM me. I don't think I can post phone number here...right?

I am now ready to embark on my engine, which I am doing right now including suspension. I may need your advise guys on what I need to do for my interior, whether it should be leather, half leather or nice good quality PVC. I want to make it two tone, seats and door trim. Oh I have a 2 door coupe...need to do the carpet, roof and my dashboard. The shop I went to would not do dashboard wrapping, too much problem he said. Went to Ampang and the one at Jln Ipoh. Both don't do dashboard but I saw an ad in the Motor Trader and this place says he does dashboard wrapping. I now know that you would a thin leather to wrap the dash, if ever there's a place that would do it, so that all the fittings can be fitted back snugly. It seems that the main problem with wrapping is the bubble that form as the dash is exposed to the sun.

Any feedback from any members here?
