hello fellow udm owner,how long would you guys think of this, refurbishing ur ride? my car is 5 1/2 years old now with 35k miles on the clock, everything runs smoothly albeit some small electrical hiccups as i have posted recently....... i am very satisfied with the car but as a perfectionist, i think is time for a bit of a rejuvanating course....theres nothing much to be done to the bodywork, paint is nice and no dinks or dents on the panel beside some minor obscure scratches... alloy wheels are a bit scrappy with some corrosions started to appear and some scuff marks on the rim, i admit is not the best but thats what you get when you paid 150 pounds for from Ebay, though, is 100% genuine BMW product. Interior..... once again, a bit scuff marks on the bolster of the seats and thats it...( half leather sport seats)so, i am thinking of changing the two most obvious flaws on the car.. the interior and the wheels...( big bucks going down the drain again)for the wheels, i got a quote for 190 pounds to professional repair and refurbish.. does that sounds alright? how much would it cost in Malaysia, just want to have a rough idea...interior, i have gotten a deal for 430 pounds for the whole leather sport interior plus fitting, but in exchange for mine, these are not taken from scrap yards but are fully retrim, the guy will take my old set and retrim and sell it off again.. what a way to run a business.... hahaha... as again, does that sounds reasonable?those are just up in my head now, will think about others along the way.....

i assume u at uk now...where about?i think u can get m3 e46 interior by selling urs plus topup some money....about the refurb wheel,workmanship over there is too expensive....at m'sia cost depend on how big ur wheel....for 19" they just charge me rm 200 for a set....y dont u just get a 2nd hand wheel from ebay...loads of choice man....
indeed last time around, i was looking for M3 interior preferably maroon in colour but those are ex and is not easy to sell off my interior esp is half leather.... i ve seen sport leather interior selling in the range of 600 to 700 pounds from scrap yards... and another thing is mine are manual adjustment and i dont think retrofitting an electric seats are feasable.... will think about it now, for 430...
yes, i do have to agree with you, workmanship is really expensive here in UK. everything is except for the car! haahahah... what a shame... able to afford cars like 330ci but cant aford to insure them :yahoo: in fact, i cant even get a quote for 320 the first time around as i am still a student and living in the worst part of UK for car crime, Manchester....
second hand ebay wheels, i did thought of that actually, looking particularly for the MV design but that would actually cost quite a bit too, including fitting from a tyre shop would cost around 50 pounds and having to dispose my wheels makes me think twice about it......

not sure if manual adjustment seat can use electronic seat or not...better u ask from bmw....i think u can easily get 400 pound++ for ur seat even urs is half leather...i use to play with ebay b4....it just about luck while bidding..sometime u can get certain item for even 0.99pence...sometime hundred bucks...
yeah...insurance is killing people at uk to drive sports car...but,i never have my insurance while drive at uk....hehehehe...n i was lucky never get caught....my frenz get caught n been jailed for 2 nights n paid 300pound for the fine.....
mv wheel...yeah...its quite expensive......y dun u just find breyton,hamann or ac....u can get the ori 1 for less than mv sometime....or oz??

wow, you are such a daredevil man... i wouldnt want to take the risk as i am kedekut lah! haha....if i get sentence to jail, i am doomed man... no more prospect in the medical field.... that time even worse...
anyway, there is a set of MV up for sale not too far from my place, and they are able to take my radial design as part exchange... still contemplating as the MV is indeed a very nice design but is too common on the road wheras the Radial looks kind of unique but refurb will be more ex than a MV..

no la..im not too dare devil la....but no money to buy insurance....need to gambling my life....i think the policeman just arrest someone that driving a small car like ford escort with all rust la...never saw a policeman stop any big big car like bmw....maybe just not my time....

m3 seat have a lots of function compare to sport seat...
mine is just a cikai 325ci....normal version...summore manual ler...no money to buy auto tip...different about 1000pound....a bit smooth la sixer but still addicted with japs turbo car.....
anyway,wat is ur name?i'm azim....

i wish mate, but i am not entirely sure whats gonna happen in 2 years time from now, might still be employed or might not be at all, due to the ever changing policy here...after all, the insurance gonna be a big time killer, think stick with my modest little 318ci would do. :blush: if i ever gonna change the car, it might be 2 years from now, not so soon if not i wont be thinking about adding the leather interior...
you got the M3 ser for less than 400 quid? did you ask the guy to fit it for you or did you did it by your self? thats really cheap...but i think i just go for the manual leather sport seats, too lazy to bother about all these ebay-ing stuff...
