None of what you listed will happened. Most of the flash programs are generic. What normally happens is the local agent will read out your current software and other information from your ECU and then email the file to the proprietor overseas, say Superchip, Hiop and etc. The proprietor will then email back a new file (software) to the local agent whom will then flash it onto your ECU (this software will only work with your ECU and hence prevent the local agent from piratising it :) ). Of course, you could tell them your beloved ride has CAI intake, free flow exhaust, high flow injectors and what not. But how would they know how much to customise? Even if you give them your AFR map, that is only at WOT. As we all know, the crucial part is the part-throttle map, which given all the modifications, it would be impossible to get it 100% accurate unless a dyno tuned couple with on road fine tuning, and to do that properly given the number of matrix points will take a few days. In fact, if you noticed when a local tuner does a tuning via piggy-back ECUs, a lot of interpolation is done, otherwise there is no way he could do it in half or even a day. Cheers
