It did crossed our mind.. the walkie is not cheap.. about half a thousand Ringgit each, we need more than 1 and we tried not to use the club fund. It was mostly handphone communication in the Raub trip, phone line coverage was out at certain stretch and was glad none got lost. Quite an achievement if u ask me.
We all know who were the regular convoy kakis and they all have personal walkie and is constantly in touch with each other that day
"Under-equipped" is a better word to use than under-staffed. Zero car was you fabian because we know you know what to do while the 518 is more suitable as marshall for obvious horse power reason.
QD is a very trusty Sweeper as he never leave anyone behind while in between, we have some regular experience convoy kaki like XXX, Don Franco, mizhan and an half bake yours truly.
20+ cars were broke in to 3 groups of less than 10 cars, with the above name fellas as first car and last car, newbie in the last group. I say its pretty well planned, minus the under equipped part.
Meanwhile, most of the committee member were busy individuals and not regular convoy kaki. So volunteer like yourself to help out in drives is a definite contribution to the club and we need more people like u. :top:
And group buy for walkie is a definite yes, for those regular drive participants. Any volunteer to head the group buy?
