To share, I had a similar mild rattle sound every time the car went over a bumpy stretch. I finally found the cause after being mystified for some time. It is the lock sticks on the 4 windows rattling against the hard plastic rings. I unlocked the car (so all lock sticks are upright), took some tape and looped the lock sticks near the top edge. Now, when the lock 'shakes', the tape hitting the hard plastic ring is hardly audible. Hope this helps. FYI my ride is a 328i. cheers
