Did your power improved after you change your clutch fan?

hi bros,

went to the workshop yesterday and mechanic informed that my clutch fan is too tight and replace it with another (loose) one.. now my radiator fan no more on full spin and accelerate like normal. one question, another problem came up, the fan in front of my radiator run on full speed this time ! :S it only happen when i switch on the air-cond...pening...

hey transporter,

are them replace with another brand or the same brand? coz mine when the fan clutch is faulty then i can feel the electric fan is spining at full speed. now replace witht the new fan clutch (sachs brand) electric fan is OK( no more full spin ) but i the new fan clutch spin full speed when the car start to move.

more oil spin faster, less oil spin slower.

did mine to spin faster in this malaysian hot climate to keep engine temperature lower in traffic jam.

Sorry dont know the oil spec. It was done by a mechanic in JB. Name is H2-B.

I think the oil is from toyota. all he did was removed the bi-metallic strip and fill with extra oil. Reseal it and it spin faster. Dont know the exact amount of oil but it should be in milliliter as the movement of the bi-metallic strip is only a few mm. did the mod for RM85 for my e36. I did this mod cos my e36 was once having overheating problem long time ago.

he might have accidentally locked up the fan clutch... There's a tab on the front of the fan clutch to lock it in place, which will cause the fan to spin at full rate at any temperature..

Get him to rectify it.

fabian,

may i know where can i locate the fan clutch tab ?
