"Quite agrreesive" air-cond cut in

Hi guys! Just wondering what needs to be done to reduce the "interference" (for lack of better word) to the engine whenever the air-cond cuts in. I do understand that the RPM will be affected slightly and temporarily but I sensed for my car at least, the power loss is too much. Is this a problem related to some relay? Appreciate your advise. Thanks!
