As the item you want to reset comes up hold this button for 3 seconds until a message " reset " comes up release and hold button again for 3 seconds and the item is reset. These resets are hard to operate and do require some practice to get them right.  If that doesn't help, you will need a BMW Scanner 1.4.0 or 2.0.1 to turn it off.
