there, a fella just quote me Michellin, PP2 Japan orignal import tyres with RM710 per piece with balanching + allignment on E60. is this worth buy? i ask for PS II but it said no such tyres and the production already stop. any better tyres than PP2 to suggest? Anyway is RM710 Japan Import PP II worth the money?

I am using 18" PP2 in lieu of the PS2 because currently there's a shortage of stock for the rear 265mm width tires. Being using for the last 2 months and it's good. Performance and handling is comparable to PS2. Loses to PS2 on the upper limits of the performance aspects of the tires. Under normal loading, no remarkable sub-difference. I paid RM750 for 235/40/18 on my fronts. about rm100 more for the bigger rears.

y not all same size? wat is it for actually? front smaller whilst rear bigger. wat is it for? don understand at all. can share why??

ps2's are always out of stock, but they are worth the trouble of waiting/searching for them. to me they are still the best tire out there. i don't think that they stopped making them, they are just out of stock. try kee hin on old klang road. i've found him to be the cheapest and best michelin dealer in town.

pp2's with the same thread wear rating are just not as good for the money you pay.
they don't grip as hard and wear out as fast. cheaper yes, but u get what u pay for.

That's called a staggered setup. Wider rear's compared to the front works well for rear wheel drive cars because wider tyre = more traction.

thx for sharing. is it local make or imported tyres (german, japan etc) they selling there? how much per piece? plz advice...

I have PP2 for the Jazz and PS2 for the E90, and I find the PP2 to be a decent performer. Better than the Potenza RE040 esp in the wet. A good cheaper alternative to the PP2 is the FK452. Worth checking out as many have been pleased with this tyre for the price you pay.

BTW last I checked PS2 doesn't come in 16's. Min size is 17 onwards.

i wanted to have it change in singapore initially from curent 16' to 17'. but i think i wont change it or waste any money on it anymore since im going to procure my 4th car coming this august. weeeee....going to get CLK 240 cabriolet year 2005. i don reali like to modify car as long as it gave me smooth ride.

BMW7833, i order 4 pieces PP2 from M-One, Mr. Wong (young one). park my car there for service last week Sunday for fully inspection and i was bill with RM4,870.00. well i would say so far so good on his services and he seem knowledgeable. whatever i ask, he manage to answer me and advice on me too. hope will stick with him for good whenever my UDM need service. :)
