Hi there,Joined this club when googling for info on E32 730iL..:listen: Just bought my first Beemer..an E32 730iL which is currently shod with 225/60 R15. Was considering upping the rim to 17" but not very sure what size tyres can go along to ensure same diameter and not obstructing turning. At present not too keen on larger than 17" rims to ensure ride comfort but if fellow forumers can advise otherwise on 18" or even 19" can consider..Also how can I check which rims can fit this car? Been going thru the classifieds but pening kepala already..so many variations!!.. Appreciate all responses to educate a newbie!! :burnout: Cheers to all,Ho CW.

Btw, what's the recommended E32iL 17" tyre size & rim off-set. Michelin $$$ cannot tahan-lah as long as it's quite-cruising on the highway wet/dry, no gila-gila cornering-lah.

19 will be sweet but rather stick to 17 as 3.0 for tht heavy body is sure underpowered.

u can go make of 275/40/18 for the rears if ur having staggered rims

I'm running 245/40/18 front and 275/35/18 rear. There is a trade off in ride quality as you feel more of the roads defects but it is by no means uncomfortable.

Surprisingly, power and consumption was hardly affected.

Is 215/50/17 or 225/50/17 okay as I wanna keep the comfort level higher with a higher profile tyre.

i think 225/50/17 is ok but it's not wide enough for the 7. I would reckon a best between both worlds would be 235/45/17. Wide enough and thick enough.

yup... tried 225/50r16... my e23 at 80km/h naik genting pun understeer...
