Poor FC

Hi guys, arhh still got problem. My FC are so bad. Rm50 can only go 140km. The prob since last year and i thought its normal for bigger engine(mine is 330ci) but getting worse nowadays..Going to MSpeed yesterday and diagnose with GT1 but no fault code appear. The mechanic suspect fuel pump or fuel float that not in gud condition... very confuse at the moment.

fuel pump i think need to change every 5 years.. mine also already change.

Let me guess? U using Shell RON95? Starting 2010, Shell RON95 performance is horrible, I suspect some critical fuel save additive has been removed!

Try V-Power, your 3.0L FC will improve.

I'm using ron97 and sometimes V-power bro..

just change fuel filter last week so gonna monitor the FC for the moment

im on v power btw... Planning to go back 97 or 95.. Finding the v and 97 wt shell is becoming a pain.. Confused.. ;(

Sorry, typed too fast, it's a typo.

RM50 on RON97 = 170km (24.39 litres)
RM50 on RON95 = 190 to 200km (27.78 litres)

I use 362 litres of fuel and travel about 2,470 km per month. I keep a fuel log for my tax claims. Both RON does not give me any problems and I only fuel up at Shell. So not sure about your statement starting 2010, Shell RON95 is horrible.

Anyway for RM50, it's only 3.39 litres additional.

Mine 328.for RM50 shell 95 i can get about 330km(highway).Engine oil i used is Mobil 1 5w50 and change standard Air filter box to Simota Universal CAI.

Mine 730iL E32 1988 model .for RM100 BHP RON 97 i can get about 550km (highway).From Puncak Alam - Kuantan - Kemaman - Trengganu .
