hi, i need help,,can anybody advise me what to do,my 318i 2004 lost power after i had a top overhaul where gasket and oilseams were changed (oil leakage)..it was ok after i took delivary but without any warning indicator on the dashboard it seems it was not able to accelerate, it got worst by the day,,The mechanic have try everything, diagnostic, changing part from other bimmers just to test what was wrong,,but he just could not solved the problem,,he says the last thing he can do now is to check the ECU from other car. Any suggestions please Please help..(I have changed 4 new cylinder coil, in January 2011 and a water hose before this)

did you try to reset the throttle response?i read about it in e46fanatic. i tried it after like a week of soccer mom driving going through jam everyday and on weekend i tried to reset and i can feel a difference in throttle and acceleration.

sounds like something is choking the engine....either air or fuel...

2 weeks plus in the workshop maybe due to checking other cars too,but at the end it was due Ecentric shaft sensor . a new part will cost rm1200/=
