Performance comes with a price. A BMW is so much more complicated in order to achieve that. Oviously it has more parts to be replaced whe it's old. A vehicle which carry you point A to point B is normally made for easy & lower cost of maintenance. A CAR which comes with fun factor will need passion to maintain it, so that you enjoy it the max. The answer is within urself, gotta balance between life & judge whether u have the passion & pocket for it. If u can do that, the u hv the fun not pain. I am driving a 6yrs old E46 325i, when I bought it, the amount I paid can nearly buy a brand new Camry/According 2.0, but I am happy with my decision. Driving is becoming fun again with it, I know I won't get that with Camry/Accord. Morever, regardless of a 6yrs old car, the cabin is silent, no irritating squeaking sound here & there. Good luck, think hard before you execute, also be very careful if u decide to go for a BMW, always send the car to a trusted workshop or AutoBavaria or else where to check, just pay a little. It help you to save more.
