Whenever I open the fuel cap to re-fuel, I can hear hissing sound like escaping gas... the minute I twist the cap, the hissing sound comes on... and I'll press on the cap to ensure controlled release of the gas, just in case petrol starts gushing out or something. After the hissing finish, usually take a second or 2... then I'll open the fuel cap fully and pump petrol as per normal.I didn't have this phenomenon with my E46 318... only started getting this on the E90 325. Wonder if this is normal? And whether it'll have any effect on fuel consumption, which is around 12l/100km, is that within the normal range for a 325? My 318 used to be around 11l/100km.
