PDC for Japan msport 525i

Hi all,I know mostly japan spec without PDC.Is it Japan spec ready for PDC?Which mean just plug the PDC sensor then can use directly? Or need module?Regardswang

Bro,it can find at menu setting.

Mine also without pdc but found this setting in idrive.

Bro! My personal opinion is "Forget" about the PDC stuffs....The sensor are damn pricey...!! One sensor cost around $350 X 8nos = ?????
Mine with PDC .....now only 1 sensor (gila babi) sometime can sometime cant...?? If one sensor spoilt .....all the PDC not work..!!

Maybe you can install camera or the old skool type of reverse sensor with sound (long lasting & cheaper)..

Correction,

PDC is just a square electronic box. The 380 X 8 is the sensor. This device consist of 3 plug, 1 to power module, 1 for it power and 1 goes back to the idrive. This device locate at you boot under the spare tyre (if u have).

I have no idea how much is it and i am looking forward to buy a new one as i just burnt mine last week. Frankly say, if u had drove a car with any sensor before, then with or without PDC make no diffrent however if not, better u install one. In my personnal point of view, PDC is no use for me and it is just a noisy function.

The PDC and the sensor will not function well due to blind spot if your car is install with M Sport body kit or lip. Try to imagine if there is medium size rock or something something infront or back. Where does your sensor install ? it is at the higher point thus, it will not function well and if not careful, u will damage your lip or lower bumper.

Ponder about it....
