Just thought of sharing with you all my experience this morning.. I went on a drive from Kota Kinabalu to a town called Keningau yesterday. Usually I would use my 4wd, but suddenly yest I drove my UDM. The journey was around 2 hours through hilly and mountain areas. This morning, when I started my car and drove for only 3 mins, my Check Radiator Light came ON. But NO Overheating of the engine. Then I stopped at my Site Office and opened my hood. Then I saw water coming out from my bleeder vent screw. So, when I touched the vent screw, then I noticed it was loose. A closer examination suddenly made me realized, my bleeder Vent Screw BROKE IN HALF !!!! One Half of it still stuck in the bleeder. :banghead: Still being in the quiet town of Keningau, I had no choice but to ask a fren to go down to KK just to buy for me the bleeder Vent Screw that cost RM15. For a moment, I had a Love-Hate relationship with the car there. Just because of the bleeder screw, I was not able to drive the car and got stuck some more since I was in a small district that don't sell BMW parts. :102: Anyway, got the part later in the evening. I torched a flat metal till burning red and placed it on the bleeder vent screw that was left in the bleeder hose to make a groove. Then, using a screwdriver I unscrewed the remaining part of the bleeder screw that was left in the bleeder hose. The following pic shows the broken part of the bleeder screw. Top is my new bleeder vent screw, bottom is the screw which was broken in two with the lower part was the one left in the bleeder hose. Now I have an extra one in my car just in case of travelling next time.
