Thinking of changing my bulb to match the LED angel eye as it is currently yellow and I don't want the hassle of HID upgrade. Heard that the nightbreakers are pretty good.Anyone done it for their E38? IF so, which one should I use? low and high and fog lights... bit blur about all the H-numbers..Thanks in advance!

Been using Nightbreakers on my E32 [main beams only] for the past year, so far so good. No problems with bulb failure. It's much better than the usual halogen bulbs. Not too sure what bulbs the E38 uses, but the E32 uses H1 bulbs.

Where can I find these?

I once read a Consumer Report that concluded that premium Halogen bulbs do not produce any difference in distance or brightness from ordinary Halogen bulbs of the same type.

I have seen it work it E46, significantly brighter (change one-side then compare). It is stated in the packaging that the lifespan is shorter than you typical halogen bulb, I suppose it burn brighter but shorter (lifespan wise).

Been using Osram Nightbreaker for more than 2 years now for my high beam headlights. No problem so far as it is not often that I switched on the high beam. In terms of brightness, it is much better than the normal halogen.

Better than Halogen in what manner?

yup the difference is there, lot's of difference.. didn't need to upgrade to HIDs...

using for 2 years already... but make sure the lense and episolid is clean.

According to this and this, looks like H1 for high beam and H7 for low beam. Fogs looks like H3.

Am gonna source for some this weekend. Hope its just plug and play and no stupid fault code that pops up.... :)

Fantastic link Bro Herbert! All confirmed correct... now to go spend some moolah.... :)

bro...why must use the halogen bulb? urs now on projector, better buy some cheapo hid set which cost u less than RM200. It wont cause any glaring as the projector does the functions well. If got any check low beam code appeared, lemme erase it...get the 4300k~6000k and also the same for the fog light. it'll match ur led angel eyes which is already bright white...

Do take note on the low beam is using the H1 type as u're using the prefacelift projector

go for those cheap HID... go for 4300k. I got my H1 HID 4300k (for my e36) at RM230 with installation (slim ballast type) and 6-month warranty
