Try checking the belts and belt bearings.

Has the same "knocking" sounds as mine.. could it be?

If it is a knocking sound from around the head area then it is either a loose spark plug or faulty coil.
You can probably put your hand on the valve cover and feel the knocks.
I had the same problem and it was a broken coil.

According to the mechanic its a misfiring caused by leakage of oil into the cylinder... but gosh darn the gaskets were changed less than a year ago.. wtf..

do you see oil stains upon removing the plugs ? if yes then the valve gasket is the culprit ...usually even the most reliable valve cover gasket last the most 2 years ...if you say your's in only a year old ...could be the none original ones which is quite common these days ...

do change those 8~12 small tiny rubber seals too once ya change the valve cover gasket ...

Hi,

If valve gasket is the culprit, then need to do top overhaul i guess.

Not all the plugs are wet. But after the gasket change the knocking came back just after few days.

Stopped by Lai's place at Kuchai & after almost an hour of swapping coils/plugs & dme's.. still clunking away..

and just to make living a little harder.. clutch is acting up. Whining sound when the clutch is pressed, vibration on the pedal as well..

What a money pit :bawling:
