Here got few e46 to sell, check it out! Welcome..

1) Which model shld I go with CKD or CBU ? was look at CBU 2003 or CKD 2004
I prefer CKD..No rust problem..

2) Which model E46 320 w/ 2.2 or 318 w/ 2.0 ?
If ur income allowable, it is better to go for high HP..

3) Any recommendation any car dealer ? or any one would like to sell your car ?
Neg with direct owner as well, dun buy from car dealer..

That's my humble opinion for u.

welcome mate. When buying a car, try to get one that has a service history. It helps in the long run! (talking from a painful experience)

cheers

Hi Don Franco,
When you said painful experience that make me worry, I'm going to view 2 E46 this saturday, 320 (yrs 2002) and 318 (yrs 2003) both CBU from Japan, and selling at 320 - 12xk the 318 - 13xk. was thinking to get a more newer model the 2003. Buy still can decide that is why need more input from you guy.

Good to have you in the club...Welcome and have a pleasant day

Bro,

mine is a jap recon..... so far no problems..... but then again, it is all pure nasib......

Opps.. looks like more demand than supply over a well maintained low mileage E46..

I better be more rajin a bit in find my E46  I start to sense competition.. :worry:

I may have signed up into the forum since 2006, still not official member yet.. because still tak ada UDM

Service Reord

Guys,

Any one of you know how to check a BM service record, as I know that is a why to check the history of a car by entering your car VIN #.

I plan to buy a recon unreg Japan spec 320i, buy need to know how to check the car service history and the country of origin.

does you guy know in the Bimmerfest forum, that is a guy can easily check out the car hisory but he is base in US.

Car service history is difficult to get unless the previous owner willing to reveal but usually once end up in the dealer's hand, the dealer will not disclose unless its a clean sheet of record. Which such record, dealer will not be able to manipulate the odometer and cannot simply tell story.

As for VIN#'s origin, you can use the last 7 digit to find out the manufacturing year from this website:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

I tried calling AB to retrieve service record but they only provide minimal info like when was the car last service there and the mileage then, which will give some clue also la. As for what they have fixed before, they will not tell. Very "professional" :D

I have read about the E87 review. Its not about value for money, its not about comfort, its not about passenger comfort, its not about rear storage space, and yet, every 1 series owner know exactly what he/she wants.

And that's pure driving pleasure. The car is being designed for only one purpose, the Ultimate Driver Pleasure.

Welcome...

Dun forget today, Friday 16.11.07 T.T. will be at Aman Suria venue Kayu Nasi Kandar.

Time about 9.30pm. Please make your payments here for the Annual Dinner 2007.

Your Attention to the above is appreciated.:smokin:

Leon,

Whatever your budget is, make sure you save some for getting the car upkeep for years of untroubled ownership. It means not to max your budget on the car price alone. Make sure you research here and get a workshop to replace wear and tear parts. Only then, you can start enjoying your car ownership, as you're not getting a brand new car.

So for homework, how much you need to allocate for e46 parts replacements.

Cheers & good luck.
