Bigger rims no need new suspension. Because u'll be using a lower profile tyres to offset the bigger diameter rims to retain the overall circumference of the wheels in order not to affect your speedo and odo readings.


However, aesthetically you will notice the wheel-fender gap appear wider because you now have thinner tyre. So it doesn't look too good without changing to a lowered suspension to slam down the ride. Once u start meddling with the suspension to a stiffer set [lowered suspension are usually stiffer due to the reduced suspension movement room], your bushing, joints, ride comfort will suffer, but u gain ride stability.


There's no free lunch. U gain some u loss some.
