NEW HEADLIGHT UNITS

Hi GuysI just changed my headlight units (both sides) because the old ones were all 'cloudy' and looked terrible. The new ones (HELLA) @ RM140/unit which have been fitted , still looks 'cloudy' & not perfectly clear as I thought new ones should be. Is this normal or have i been suckered (yet again) !

You should have clean the interior lens before you fitted it.

Its like a layer of flim...I kenna this problem too when I bought the new lens...then have to take out clean it and reinstall again....then it looks perfect !!

Hi Ghostrider-SG,

Could you please elaborate on how to clean the interior of the lens? I thought it's blocked by the tiny silver-color shield inside so one cannot inside like an extended cotton bud inside to wipe the lens surface...

First...yours E34 or E39 ??

Mine is the E34 and the lens itself is seperated from the projected lamp. Even for the Hi beam, you can just remove the bulbs and clean them...from the inside.

Just curious, does Hella or any other OEM brand manufacture crystal and clear lenses for the E34 headlights?
Think clear lenses will be more better for HIDs right?

Picked up a set of Hella lenses for RM65 a piece in Dubai. The Taiwanese do make E34 headlights. Mostly clear lenses just like Hella.
