The Brits produced some of the most loved roadsters starting with the many MGs and then classic examples like the Austin Healey and Triumph Spitfire. The Americans had beauties too in the early Corvettes. Latter day examples include the venerable Mazda Miata, Porsche Boxter, Merc SLs and BMW Zs.I desperately wanted a Miata at one stage and test-drove a friend's unit.
