They did plug in the transmission fault code reader but no errors were found. I guess I just have to bite the bullet and replace the solenoids to know for sure whether it would solve my problem or not. Today I noticed two more strange problems. I usually listen to hotfm but when i start the car this morning, the radio automatically switched to era.fm. Another problem was the date shown in idrive is one day late i.e. 2nd july 2013.
