I plan to leave my car for 3 weeks as i'm going to overseas. No one is able to start and warm-up the car daily while i'm away. I'm worried about the car battery which will be damaged if not regularly warm-up for 3 weeks. Any advise? Should i pull out the battery ? (however i don't know where is the location of the battery). Will this effect the car later if i pull the battery?Could i do it myself or i need to send it to the mechanic? Any suggestions ? TQ

Just leave it as it is. When you come back and starts it then you will know if your the condition of your engine and electrical system. If it started fine then your car is in tip top condition otherwise it is not.

I leave my car for more then 3 weeks sometimes, no problems..but makesure to release the handbrake and on parking mode(if your parking lot is flat) as theres possibility for the pads to get jammed.

TQ for all the advise .. So, i will fill up the fuel tank, release the handbrake, put in P position .. lock my car .. ask my abg sebelah rumah tengok2 kereta ... and enjoy
my trip ... :)

Left my car for about 8 days but thankfully, the car managed to start on the first crank when I got back. Sure, the crank was slightly weaker than before, but once I started it, I left the engine running for about 5 mins, and there was quite a decent amount of white smoke coming out from the pipes. There was about 1/4 tank of fuel that time.

After that, turned the engine off, and started it again, and no issues. And to make sure, I took the car out on a spirited drive along the Federal Highway last Sunday morning... :4: it's been ages since I managed to hit 160 on that road. Hahaha.

Anyways, past history was that my car failed to start last year after less than a week without usage, so for it to last for 8 days without any significant issues, is really a huge relief to me. :top: Of course, like what tamade7 said, it's a way of finding out whether anything's wrong with your car. Traced it to a weak battery & faulty alternator back then.

Hope your car will be fine. 3 weeks is quite a long time for it to be left unused.

And one more thing..i usually notice a slight drop on the tyre air pressure so makesure u pump bit more before you leave the car..and when im back the first thing is to give a good run one the ride..

3 weeks would drain your battery.. better a good battery to start then buying new or charging it back..

just remove your + terminal and manual lock the car..
