need advice..."sqicking sound"

hello to all sifus...Kindda new in bmwclub. Think i had intro myself before...somewhere in the forum..well..have a problem here.driving a e46 318i 2.0. Now days.. each time when i start the engine esp when the engine still cold...it makes the "squiking sound" just for few sec when u just start the car...the it goes off...? What is that..? Is it a sign of major prob coming...?Good news is...when the engine is hot...its ok...no squiking sound when u start...TQ sifus...

emm..
tried going to to MSpeed UpTown asking the same problem...
The head mechanic said that its not becoz of the belt. Something got to do with the "starter". He said still can be use and not a major thing which immediate change... Well dunn know why, but kindda tak percaya...

If u all asking me why not go to BMW workshops for help..well i'm trying to locate the work shops that all the sifus rekemen now...
Mspeed uptown handle most of my famili cars which is not UDM but merc...

My advice is to just enjoy the car. You are punishing yourself by counting how much you have spend on it. Your stress is cause by thinking that a RM40k car is a bargain and having a fixed expectation of what you'll need to spend to bring it to your satisfaction. No two car are the same and there may be no end and no limit to how much needs to be spent. If you like your E36 and can afford the repairs, just enjoy it. Don't keep score.
