Need advice on ECU

hey guys..need some info and all the help i can get.. my carbmw e36 318iS m42 autoi got this problem of erratic idling ever since day 1 i bought the car... i've sent it to different mechanics and whenever they check on Modic it shows the ECU is for m43.. i saw it myself the m43 letters...they said this is the cause for my problems as the ICV & MAF are brand new.. they also readjust the hoses.. and tried to clean the brand new ICV again n again..can anyone help..? is this true? where can i get the m42 ECU? how much will it cost? is there anyway around replacing it... so far that's the only problem i hav with this car...thx in advance ! appreciate any comments

try ebay and ask the seller what type of the ecu they have..the are a few of them selling e36 ecu...hope this will little helps..try ebay.co.uk and search for bmw ecu..good luck

if it is hard for since it need to be shipping / credit card verified address or bla bla u dont want any hassle then try check at the workshop nearby u which has been recommended by the c-fu's / official members...hope this helps..
