Sigh, what to do? Wrong timing for my car to break down. It broke down 1 day after my first time servicing at Raymond's. Thought it would be something small and decided to send back there to identify the problem. That was on Friday, right before the CNY weekend break. Unfortunately, when I heard that it was a broken camshaft, I was told that the camshaft would only cost 1k+ and there would be some extra costs here and there. Then the nightmare begins when it seems that everything else also needs to be changed from the head , and then the oil pump, mountings etc. 1 day ago when I first sent my car in to check the car's vibrations and loud engine noise, I was told that it was normal and all that was needed was an engine flush and engine oil change.. which balooned to a 2k+ bill as more things were identified as needful of change. But anyway, the car seems ok for now and I certainly hope it stays that way. A good lesson learnt for me and I definitely know where I am going to send my car, or where not to in future.
