Yes, it is very similar in terms of system & language if compared to an EU spec (for the progman update via SSS)except that in malaysia, the on board "traffic info" on sat nav is not really applicable...when you are on a jap spec, it can't understand the system & language of the car. the hardware on the car is also different (part no.'s are majorly specified for jap spec...) that's why your CCC can't be updated...(except for a previous version of update version 22.0 where alot of the cars were updated succesfully...)
