The car is an Auto, but it has a selector which allows you to switch from E-S-(3-2-1) and it works!!! :D :D Economy (uses gear 1-4) Sport (uses gear 1-3 only) 3-2-1 is manual select (1- first gear, 2-second gear, 3- third gear, D- forth gear) I find that with the auto box and the 325i engine conbined with the lightweigt of the E30, the drive can be quite spirited too. The shifting is quite smooth, I can barely feel the downshift when I floor the pedal. Cruising at 160 is very silent and controlled, but I fell the suspension is kinda springy. I hope a good new spring will solve that problem. On the suspension side, here is a list of all the rubber parts I've changed so far...I opt not to go for PU bushes because I want to maintain the stock ride quality. Subframe bushes Trailing arm bushes Transmission bush Engine mounting Control arm bushes Antiroll bar bushes Suspension mountings Flex disk Long shaft bush All coolant hoses are new Thats all I can think of, hope the sifus can tell what other part I missed. Tks for all the comments.
