Just make sure the harness that you create has the same wire thickness and connectors as per instruction. But if M/F steering is your requirement, why dont you just opt for BMW with m/f steering rather than going through difficulty of retrofitting it.As for me, I made a mistake of not properly studying the specs / accesories that come with a UDM. That's why I ended up retrofitting things. If i know earlier, I would have chosen a car with complete spec and higher cc engine. I was overexcited when testing the M54 engine which clocked only 75,000 km that time till i din even bother bout the accessories.
