Must be due to the temperature.</p><p></p><p>Decided to pay BA a visit and get a replacement. The ashtray which came originally with the car has a chrome strip on the slider cover but BA only carries stock which are without the chrome strip. Since looks-wise the difference is minimal, it makes no difference to me.</p><p></p><p>Since it's a common part to broke in our E46s, it's good to share the some info with everyone. Just pull the whole tray up.
