The engine would just dies off even though i change the crank sensor lol Upon starting again the car had rough idling very lumpy but when on mid to high rpm she's purrrs nicely. Went to optimum and have it read the codes via Autologic it came up with a Vanos exhaust side error. Apparently it's filled with some sort of silicone and further checking with other mat salleh forums it seems to be a factory solution from BMW to stop the solenoids from moving ... </p><p></p><p>22nd Nov - Anyways after more than a week of deliberating (actually reuben was busy doing something else :slug<img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /> we decided to install back the Vanos and see how it goes. What do you know ... It works like a charm !!!</p><p></p><p>Reuben decided to take off the Unichip as well to see how the car responds within this few weeks. The car now idling very smoothly and drives great :rock: However reuben did point out that the clutch is getting thin and needs replacement plus need to check on the ICV and change the throttle position sensor (TPS)</p><p></p><p></p><p>To be continued ....</p></blockquote><p></p>
