My E28 520i

i am interested to fully convert my E28 520i (big bumper local model) to small bumper cbu model. Is that possible to do that at this time? Please advise. I am from Northern Region.

Hi Bro,
Had an E28 three years ago. Finding ori small bumpers is a problem expecially getting a good condition one.Plus the piece below your bumper front is best to get a 520iSE model that comes with a fog lamp.
Try converting to M5 fibre replica bumpers. Looks cool.These M5 bumper can be obtain here in Klang Valley.

Personally I would stay away from the copy fibreglass stuff.

If you want do it, do it right i.e originals or bust!

Both have the e28 M-technic bodykit. This kit was originally introduced on the e28M535i and was optional for the e28 M5

This picture below shows the complete M-technic bodykit. The front and rear bumpers are plastic. Includes front and rear lower valance, sideskirts, wheel arches and the rear trunk spoiler. Easily identified by the 3 channel lines running along the bottom of the entire kit and also on the trunk spoiler.

The e28 M5 came dressed with only the front lower valance, wheel arches and the trunk spoiler(similar to the one mentioned above).

I hope that this is a clear description in identifying both specs.

i am from Alor Star......with 1984 520i.....big bumper local model.....regret bought this car....should buy the 525i CBU small bumper instead.....Haiya...

Yes it can be changed, but problem is hard to find the parts, somehow I am from northern region.....

Where can i find these bodykits for e28 in KL? Can anyone pm me of the location of shops that can fabricate the fiber ones? And do u think fiber shops can make replica of the e28 AC Shnitzer front skirt? Thanx in advance.
