My cursed e30...

Hi everyone,It's happened AGAIN. My e30 is trashed But this time not my fault....blardy drunk driver hit me from opposite direction.Last time I smashed the front end myself...that was fixed with many thanks to tyke, sanji and others.At least the guy admitted it's his fault, polis report done & should be paid for by his insurance.Damage wise, the fender, bonnet, lamps, grille & front structure will need replacing or "ketuked". Exactly like last time, but this time the driver side :angry: At least both sides will "match" now.There' a gaping hole ripped in the wheel well, but should be fixable.But most distressing, it's destroyed one rim (15" BBS) and my (fibre) MTec2 front bumper :beaten: Any idea how the insurance co (kurnia, the worst apparently) will deal with these items?Who's gonna sell the workshop ONE rim? Where to find the bumper??Argh, can't write anymore, sakit hati only.

I feel your pain. But it had happened so look on the bright side. At least that guy admited as you said and insurance will fix the rest. I have no experience with Kurnia thus cant give any comment.

Kurnia totally and utterly sucks!!!!!

My claim of RM19K was cut to about RM6K only. Get a lawyer to fight them if you have the resources.

OMG!.....Luckily you're alright! Thats the most important thing.

Don't know much about insurance claims, but I've heard that you can request from the insurance for genuine parts...! So look on the bright side, maybe Kurnia will approve an original Mtec 2 bumper and BBS rims. k:

No way is Kurnia gonna do that 4 u.

Bcos ur car is older than 6 years, u will only be entitled to replace parts with second-hand/used items. They will not replace with new parts unless the workshop really cannot get the used part.

hi drool, sorry 4the bad luck! things can happen anywhere!
piss-off wit KURNIA for not refunding the balance they owe me. after many times went to their office, so many excuses given! bad service!
fed-up! never use their insurance service anymore! hav been black listed on my list for life! anyway, never get the balance till now, that was many years ago! by the way, try to sapu the insurance adjuster for more!

thanx 4 the words of support...tho the feedback on kurnia only confirms what the workshop told me...

going to the bodyshop trow to see whetehr things have moved at all, somehow doubt it.

of course the most important thing is I'm fine. car is secondary but I'm not about to let the insurance/workshop take me for a ride. trust me, I design engine parts for a living, I know it's bullshit when people tell me my ripped rim "boleh bikin punya"!. Not that I think I'm so "terror" engineering, but c'mon....

the shitty thing is, all this heartache in a way makes me just wanna bail on e30 ownership altogether

the good thing is, more than ever I feel that if I don't bail out, now's the time to follow through on all the much-procrastinated super-engine-upgrade-manual-conversion fantasy I've been eyeing all this time :nyehehe:

so yeah, looks like all the way or none at all muahaha!

redeemed RM800 cash from kurnia for repairing...

haha can't believe it right ?
