This baby Alfa is with me for 10 yrs,the details mods to this machine;GTA close ratio gear box,heavy duty racing clutch,heavy duty valve sprint,group 1 cam,shenkel extractor,Borgo high compression piston 10.5-1,twin werber carb with K&N filter with velocity stack,LSD 25%,minilite rims, Koni absorber(yellow),GTV 1750 console box,momo sterling and leather seat.Std version 132 hp 0-60 mph 9.2 sec,top speed 122 mph@5500 rpm,after mods 160hp 0-60 mph 7.5 sec,top speed 120mph@7500 rpm.Superb handling and lots of fun,exhaust note is a melody to me.

Urh, top speed lower after modding? Higher final drive ratio for better acceleration?

Bro you are rite,I used a berlina 2000 rear coil spring when the picture was taken. After some ride the bottom sump guard hit d road bump,I hv changed back to a lower but heavy duty coil spring.Original 5th gear is 0.79 and real axle 4.1 mods to 0.856 and 4.3 for acceleration.I enjoy quick pick up rather than top speed,trail the super car in town not on the highway...thkz bro
 
my 1st 1972 Alfa GTV 2000

This was my 1st GTV 2000.This car came with original GTA rims,the rest are std.I sold her for RM 36k,still miss this incredible alfa baby.
 
there's a red one for sale in jag auto for about 55k. anybody know anything about that car? plate number 2000.
 
those old alfa romeos just make us remember of the good times eventhough i wasn't born yet

When this playboy coupe sprint GT was introduced in 1963,only the rich and famous can afford,GTV 2000 1972 cost RM 26k and a 200 mercs only RM 19k. Between 1963-1976 few other model like GT 1300,GTA 1300, 1750GTV,2000GTV,GTV Junior1600,GTAm2000 were launched.GTA and GTAm are race prepared with 160bhp and 220bhp.A modified GTV 2000 can take on a 3000cc BMW during european touring championship during the 60's. All the models are great machine,even in the 60's all Alfa GT come with ATF disc brake,double over head cam,aluminium engine block,twin sparks for GTA and GTAm.The exhaust note is a melody to me.I love driving this alfa baby during the weeken....thkz cheers:top:

what a lovely beauty dude. i wonder how troublesome to maintain it though. alfas of those years are known for leaks and such. whats ur experience?

Thkz bro, even the new model like 156 still leak,no leak not Alfa lah :eek: I hv replaced most of the rotten parts 8 yrs ago and only go for a spin during sunday,it's quite easy to up keep this machine.U can easily get most of the parts from a nuts to major engine and body parts from internet.It's real fun to own one...cheers

OMG!...I loves this car...love it...love it...love it...but no money to buy it now...:20:

My brother got 1 back in 1987...but totaled lost in crash at Kampar in 1988...miss her so much...PS 5005

i found one in section 16, the owner no longer drives the car,he now drives a waja. the gtv is black in color but it need to be retouched.
 
Nice car. What happened to the original steering wheel? The current one tak berapa ngam la.
