Mobile Disc Brake Skimming

Was at the kedai bawah pokok place last Saturday, and managed to witness a mobile disc brakes skimming service... first time watching discs getting skimmed and never knew that they had it so mobile...p.s. these are not my discs.Pic 1: The guy mounts it on his motor.

Pic 2: He lets the machine run, and it slowly spins around the dics skimming of a little at a time..

Pic 3: The finished product.. I noticed he kept the iron shavings as well, probably worth some money.

hey that look like a mintue lathe machine. How did the lathe? By the motorbike or a generator or a 240 VAC extention cord.

It was powered by 240V AC, plugged into the power point...

I have learnt in the pass years that skimming will not solve the disc rotor problem. It's just a temporary measure. To me its a waste of money if you want to keep the car long.
